Mast & Rigging
Almost 60 feel long mast is stepped on keel and supported by solid rod
rigging. Two stainless steel metal frames, one in front and one behind the mast,
which are connected to the keel framing made this section of hull very sturdy.
Despite that, there is heavy duty metal structure supporting deck fittings for
rigging.

Heavy duty mast collar has build in turning blocks for halyards going back to
cockpit.
The rigging system has three solid rod double groove Stearn Twin Stay system
controlled from cockpit. Solid furling/reefing rods are safe for any reefing in
any kind of heavy weather.
The system
allows to set unnumbered combinations of sail configuration on any point of
sailing with full unlimited control of sail area. Originally all halyards for
all three reefing forestays were lead to cockpit winches. Today all halyards are
made off flexible stainless steel wire and are operated by winches fixed on
mast. Once the sails are hosted there is no need for any additional control or
work.

The mast was completely dismantled, all fittings, including inner ones were
checked and some repaired and then all assembled again.
Backstay, Baby Stay and Boom are controlled by Navtec hydraulics pumps. The
running backstays are controlled by set of self tailing Lewmar winches.
