Engine

The original engine Volvo-Penta MD21A was recreantly replaced by a new 50 Hp diesel engine Yanmar 4JH-3E with Hurth gear box. The engine is installed on metal bead under navigation station and is accessible from three sides by removing side panels. The picture above shows engine room without the engine. The boat has two bladed 46 cm diameter Max-Prop propeller.

The following picture shows fuel system. The engine is run from running tank which is filled  from main 500 liters tank. The fuel is feed by electric or manual pump through a system of filters. The overflow from running tank goes back to main tank and by letting the pumps work, the fuel could continuously circulate through the filter system and clean itself. The same system is feeding small tank for diesel electric generator.
